I didn't thing this really fit in the "big AoS impression thread" as it was too spread out. I wanted to have an discussion on how units are on the gameboard compared to their lore or their "feel". Kind of balance but not in point cost or anything of the like more how strong it is compared how strong it should be "lorewise". Any changes that you feel was really good considering fluff or maybe the opposite?
I myself think most units have held true to lore. Here are some things that dissapointed me though.

Dwarf Ironbreakers.
a 4+ save.... really? these dudes are supposed to be the armouriest dude around more or less. Yeah they got a a special rule but I can't think of why they shouldn't be 3+.

Skaven arcanewarmachines in general.
They are waaaay to boring. roll a 2+ and they are OK. They removed all the flavour of weird arcane technology with a high risk reward. Also they are all soo much better using the effect that you barely anytime will choose not to use the powerup. I especially am dissapointed with the ratling gun. The old rules were so charming and really got you a feel of the lore. Now it is just plain and boring.

Skaven Plaugemonks
They are a bit too powerfull. They are waay to strong in combat. And all their flavour now lies in their crazed attacks. No longer any "though" stuff. Lorewise they are only infected crazed clanrats. IMO not supposed to be some kind of superwarrior.

Otherwise I am pretty pleased so far.

because they have 2 special rules that make them annoying, one to reroll all failed save rolls and one to ignore rend (well a bit) but still, pretty tough... they are also good at melee and have range attacks and cause d3 mortal wounds at range if they wish, they are highly versatile and tough as nails
