Not sure if this has been brought up, but I've noticed that both the starter box and the Fluff book seem to lack photos of Ork (but do have Gobs), Elf, and Dwarf models (please correct me if I'm wrong). There's also I think just a couple photos of Beastmen. I know the lack of Tomb Kings is due to GW phasing them out completely in favor of VC.

But the lack of Ork, Elf, and Dwarf models (again, correct me if I'm missing them) makes me think those will be the next wave of models released (maybe GW thinks "no point showing the old models when we're gonna release new ones") or perhaps it's just that GW wants to show more Chaos, Undead, Treemen, Ogres, etc to show what their future focus will be? Maybe to fit the fluff since the Dwarfs and Elves aren't as they used to be in strength? Maybe to fit the rumor that Orks are getting a completely new look? Maybe also match the rumor that Dwarfs are being phased out in favor of just small supplemental units (i.e. Dwarf Fyreslayers).

Anyway, what are your thoughts on the lack of photos of certain armies in the starter+fluff books? A sign of things to come - either what will be added or removed? Or just a coincidence so GW can focus on the old models that still reflect on the new fluff/aesthetic?

Perhaps the new narrative box set will be Orruks vs Aelfs or Fyreslayers??

Well, I remember hearing GW wanted to change aesthetics a bit to go with the renames of factions. I guess using new models would help put a greater separating line between elfs and...aelfs.

I just think the release rate of these things is going to be entirely dependent on how successful Sigmarites and the first few releases go. I imagine GW doesn't want to do any extra work in the event that WH-AOS doesn't perform any better than WHFB, so right now it's really hard to tell what will be coming and when.

Still feels a bit like End Times limbo.

Orks are rumoured to be next even before chaos even though chaos are in the box though they got a bit of stuff with end times so possible that the orks rumour is true but for now no one knows

Would be nice for some more greater daemons and daemon stuff. Much safer bet as this would double up for 40k as well.

Though when did GW ever go the simple, sensible route lol.

Regular humans should be added to the list. The only models they showed were some Warrior Priests, the War Altar of Sigmar, and some Flagellants.

I have the impression that the Aelves release will coincide with a campaign book following Tyrion and Malerion's quest against Slaanesh.
