Can we start a thread to collect custom battleplans to give inspiration to other gamers? It's not clear how best to organise it because over time it could get big, and it sounds like there could be interest in having a new AoS -> Battleplans category on dakka (up to the admins obviously).

The basic idea would be for someone to publish their battleplan following the same structure as the GW-published ones, including custom deployment, terrain, objectives and game rules, as appropriate. Include suggestions about army composition/size, and be specific about the armies you've actually play-tested it with. It would also be nice to post a poll for each battleplan so people can get an idea of ones that seem to work/play well.

Others can then followup with suggestions for improvements and/or variants, as well as suggested armies from other factions they've successfully playtested.

Is this something that might be useful to help get past the "kill 'em all" games I suspect a lot of us are playing at the moment?

I don't know, I think people uploading theirs will be so rare it can easily be done with new threads called "My [x] battleplan" without cluttering the general discussion category. :-)

I might, of course, be wrong, but I'm somewhat convinced that it wouldn't be that active as a category, so it'd just be wasting most the time, I'm afraid.
