I'll try to give my thoughts on the current orc units in AoS. As for heroes, I'll exclude the named ones, as I had no chance to try them out.
Orc Warboss on a Wyvern: the Best general right now. Tough, killy and a great commander thanks to Waaagh! Unless you take a specific batallion, he is the best choice as a leader and a great betstick.
Orc Warboss: unlike his previous incarnation this one is not a fighter, but a support unit. He should never be taken without a boar and a Waaagh! banner, so he can enchance the combat performance of your orcs.
Orc Great Shamen: must be taken with a boar to enchance his mobility. +1 to casting is also nice. His best use is to power up other units with Mystic Shield, althou an Arcane bolt can also come handy sometimes.
Orcs: either with two chopas or shield+chopa. The former do great in assault (especialy if they are in the range of a Warboss with the Banner), while the latter (especialy under Mystic shield) can eat some punch, while also being able to do good damage in return. Should be taken in units of 20+ or not be taken at all.
Orc Arrer Boys: should be taken in a Greenskins Big mob. Otherwise savage orcs do the same job, but better.
Boar Boys: shield+chopa. Great for hunting lone wizards or piests thanks to good mobility mobility.
Orc boar charriot: infirrior to Boar boys imho. Better save, wounds and bravery, but lacks chopas and if you take more than 1 they occupie to much space.
Ruglud's armored orcs: haven't tried them out. If you have feel free to tell your oppinion.
Black orc big boss: better off with a deff chopa and a shield. A must if you take black orcs, as his command ability prevents them from running away. Also must be kept near another orc hero to make the best performance.
Black orcs: keep them near the big boss and charge. They will be great anyway.
Savage orc big boss: all savage orcs are best if taken in a Bonesplitas Big Mob to enchance their warpaint. This big boss is fine in any way, but will mostly be taken with a Stonecleava (since he's medelled with one). His command ability is kind of meh, but can be made usefull for buffing savage orcs with bows.
Savage orc shamen: Same as the normal orc shamen, but foot of Gork should always be used instead of Arcane Bolt.
Savage orcs: Bows+chopas and a few Big Stabbas. 20+ savages make good archers, especialy when buffed by the Big Boss and included in a Big Mob. Shields are useless, bone shives and ganrled fists also. Normal orcs are much better in CC. Savages are now the shooty ones.
Savage orc boar boys: always take 2 chopas. Shields are useless, because 6+ is negated too easily ant then you'll have nothing to reroll. Spears are also useless since they lack any rending.
