Is Age of Sigmar worth trying or is it just another money sucker?

I had fun in 3 out of 4 games I had so far. In one I didn't have fun because my friend who sat at the next table kept whining at AoS ruining the fun for both me and my opponent.

Your mileage may vary, it's not WFB, so don't expect it to be, but it can be fun. It's like 40k, but with less shooting. Also smaller armies make for a bit more personal forces, you feel a bit more immersed, especially if you have lots of nice terrain pieces on the table. AoS would be fantastic on a town/city board.

The rules are free so why not try it? If you don't like the official figures use substitutes from your existing collection.

If you insist on buying all the official books and models of course it is going to be a money sucker, that is the point of GW launching it. How else would they make any money?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Free rules, and easy as pie: rules are 4 pages long (and 2 pages are how to set-up your game table)

Everything else is on the warscrolls. I played a game, and my puny State troops held well and were not just a symbolic speed bump for the Chaos warriors facing me

I think AoS simply made crappy units worht it now

Its excellent and honestly while its only 4 pages of rules it has so many tactics, strategies and smart plays that youll be thinking of what your next game is gonna be like before the first one ends. Between deployment and moving there are just possibilities out the yahoo. Yes there are naysayers but it wouldnt be right if there wasnt
