Hey guys, I've had an account here on DakkaDakka for about a week now, but I've failed to post any kind of introduction. I'm from Texas; I live in San Antonio when I'm not away at school, but I go to school at Texas A&M.

I'm kind of new to 40K. I picked up an interest in it a couple of years ago during my senior year of high school and read a couple of books, but I never was able to dive into the game because of college and just life in general getting in the way. I set aside money this summer, bought enough Skitarii to make a ~500 point army, and I've been charging full speed into learning stuff about 40K. My Skitarii are still far from finished, as I'm a pretty slow painter and work was always getting in the way of me taking much time to paint. I'm already looking at many different factions as possibilities to make another 500 point army so my girlfriend or roommate can play against me whenever, but I feel like that may be a topic for another thread elsewhere.
