Will the homing on the impaler cannons ignore the "need sky fire rule?"

Homing on them ignores LOS correct? If so then no, you still meed skyfire to shoot at a flyer at full BS. I could be wrong as i don't know the nid codex

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Yea your right, im sorry i should have mentioned that. it also has it ignores all cover saves so i know jink doesn't work. But it doesn't really say anything about flyers that's why i just want to clarify this.

Edit: also the hive guards are blind and they see through the hive mind. So I'm not sure how accurate the lore to game play really is. That is why i am asking this qiestiom. Just something that's been on my mind. I can see how it wouldn't work, and why it shouldn't. Be really really really strong if it can fire at flyers at full BS... again just asking to clarify. No flame please.

no IIRC they just have the Homing rule which ignores line of sight but doesn't include anything in regards to skyfire unfortunately.

Hive Guard's impale cannons are S8 AP4 assault 2 Homing Ignores cover. Homing : you can fire out of Los as long as you're within range. Your Hive guard will need to snap-shoot at zooming fliers. Put preferred enemy on them from the Swarmlord, or drop them on a skyfire nexus and watch planes keep ample space around you.
