Wishing I was back at the South Atlantic, closer to ice than the sun

Anyone playing it? Saw that it was available for download, did so and I am surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. Though that may be the case of rose tinted spectacles since I enjoyed the other games.

Cheers

I like the game, but I hear death claw raids happening one after another can ruin your entire vault, so that's something to think about.

A lot of fun at first and one of the best apps I have played so far, arguably the best. Sadly, at 60+ Dwellers, unless you heavily prepared for it and read / strategized ahead, Deathclaw raids will brutally wreck your vault, forcing you to either accept your doom or shell out real cash in order to get weapons capable of dealing with them.

NEVER EVER. NEVER go above 59 Dwellers UNLESS you have a top tier weapon (Missile Launcher or special laser weapon). Without those, it's game over. Made me quit the game.

Dathclaws aren't actually all that hard if you prepare. Arm everyone on the top couple of inhabited floors with the best weapons you have and at least 15 stimpacks in reserve and you can wipe them out without losses. I killed my first few waves with nothing more scary than a hunting rifle. I also keep a max size storage room on my top floor which I keep filled with my off duty explorers.

Once you get over 100 dwellers stability drops off a cliff, I am lucky to last 5 mins without a crash at 130 odd dwellers, and there isn't anything worth calling end game content. Its a decent game for a day or two but not muchch else.

Thanks for the tips, wasn't planning on going above 60 for a long time. Just wanted the nuclear reactor. Once I've reached that stage a major redesign of my upper floors are in order to force any attackers through choke points.

I'm currently cycling dwellers through training rooms to get them to full SPECIAL 10s. Then I'll send them out into the wasteland and leave them there for about a week before recalling them.

The trick really is to fill each room before moving on to new stuff so you have a resource buffer.

Gauss Rifles with all SPECIAL 10 doesn't kill Deathclaws in one shot.

What kinda BS is that?
