Well, I finally did it. After finding DakkaDakka almost 6 years ago, and jumping in and out of the hobby, and moving clear across the country, I did it. I joined this wonderful and vibrant community. I've taken all of the tips and articles and how-to's and comments and addendums and all of the love and support you guys have shown one another that I've gotten to participate in and (hopefully) leech and I've joined. I made an account and I'm here. And I'll be honest, I'm thrilled. I've always been of the opinion that if you have nothing constructive to say, don't say anything at all. And today, I think that for the first time, I've got something to say. So a quick intro. I'm from Texas, which is great. Personally, I'm a Tau player, and yes I'm a huge gundam nerd. And that's cool with me. I got into playing the game through a buddy who asked if I knew anything about it. So I read stuff on lexicanum and stumbled upon dakka. I was blown away. Some of the stuff on here was incredible. Some of it was crazy. Some of it was hilarious. And some was all three. To that end, I've spent a long time working on figuring out how to blend all of that together until I get something I liked. So I put together my first idea. I didn't have a codex, just a battle force and a buddy who played orks. So I came up with my first army, the hazard korps. Essentially they're the farsight enclaves, just with a different paint scheme. However, upon seeing the absolute mess I made of my beautiful plastic dudes, they took a soak in purple power until inspiration struck again. This time, they retain the name, and a new paint scheme, and as I get through getting some done, I'll post them up to allow you, the Internet and dakka at large, to judge my work and above all help me improve. The two other projects I'm working on are my Imperial Knights, which are a group of Freeblades that have no compunction of who they work for, be it Xenos or Man. My son recently asked me to start an army, so I'm putting together his first 1,000 points in the form of a group of Blood Angels (known as the Iron Avengers, red and gold are the primary colors). As anything else comes up, I'll let you know. But yeah, that's me. Thanks for having me!
