Been tying to think of a good way to fix the T-65. The idea I have come up with is a title card for them as they are one of the few ships that does not have a special card just for them. Title card, T-65 only. "Rogue Squadron Pilot" Increse you Pilot skill by 1 and gain 1 EPT (same restrictions as A-wing test pilot) What do people think of this solution? Would this breath new life back into the name sake of our game?

So basically the X-Wing equivalent of the TIE Interceptor Royal Guard Pilot card? Only problem is, from what I remember, the T-65 X-Wing isn't referred to as such anywhere, its just referred to as "X-Wing" so making it "T-65 Only" makes it unusable.

They're getting a special card for them in the new T-70 expansion pack.
Integrated Astromech
Modification, 0 points
When you are dealt a Damage card, you may discard 1 of your Astromech Upgrade cards to discard that Damage card (without resolving its effect).

I have seen the intergrated astromech, but I don't see looseing your droid as a great trade. For cheap ones, kinda, but I'd rather keep my R2-D2/R5-P9/R2- D6 (would you lose your EPT if you lost R2- D6?)
And if its just about removing damage there's a droid that already does that, R5- D8, but I don't get rid of him to do it.

The T-65 needs a small increase in value/reduction in points. Giving it the opportunity to be more expensive doesn't really fly for me.
Integrated Astromech is, importantly, free, and it doesn't fix damage, it allows you to ignore it completely, which, should you take a direct hit with 2HP remaining is infinitely superior to an Astromech who'll never get the opportunity to fix it, because you're dead.
I still think the X Wing needs a smidge more help beyond IA though, perhaps some sort of title that allows you to equip a generic pilot with an EPT at a small discount?

I think IA should have included a point discount for Astromechs personally, but otherwise its a pretty nice fix IMO. The ability to negate a point of damage and all associated affects is pretty huge, and its *totally* worth discarding your astromech card to do it. By the time you're on your last point or two of hull, chances are you're not going to survive much longer to use the astromech anyway.

Honestly, my only complaints about Integrated Astromech are:
1) Modification, so can't grab engine upgrade on Wedge as well as this card.
2) Restricted to X-wings. I do not feel that giving the Y-wing access to it would be much worse than giving it to the T-70, and the E-wing could also use some love (Note that it is not very useful for Corran+R2, who also want Engine Upgrade).
3) Only sold one per pack. Seriously, I don't need 5 T-70's, but do need four of these guys.

It's great for giving you the option of having one last turn to do some damage before dying. You take a crit, you can lose your astromech to stay alive, and get to fire for that turn, and absorb another turn of shooting from the opponent.

And if its just about removing damage there's a droid that already does that, R5- D8, but I don't get rid of him to do it. A lot of people are not reading the Integrated Astromech card correctly. You CHOOSE which damage card you want to ignore. It's not the first one dealt to you. so you can ignore the first regular damage card you take and save it for a crit or the final damage that will kill you anyways. Let me repeat that last bit, YOU CAN IGNORE THAT FINAL DAMAGE CARD THAT WOULD KILL YOU ANYWAYS. This lets you keep your X Wing around one more turn at least. Remember, R2D2 can't do a damn thing if you're dead, so Integrated Astromech lets him sacrifice himself to get you one more pass. People need to realize that you're not giving up the mech for no benefit, you're essentially getting a free shield upgrade on top of the bonuses you're getting from the droid. Then, you punt the little sucker into space when you would take your final damage card and get just a little more life. Most importantly, you use this WHEN YOU GET THE DAMAGE. Not the next turn, not when you pass go and collect 200 dollars, but as you recieve the damage card. No astromech out there lets you flat out discard damage when you receive it. R2-D2, R5- D8, and R5-P9 all work NEXT TURN, which means they have no way to save you on the turn you receive damage. You're already buying the mech to keep the X Wing alive longer, why on earth would you NOT take this upgrade, it just makes them even better at what you got them for in the first place! So this card is actually very handy. It essentially gives the X Wing a 3rd shield, allowing the generics with an R2 or R5 mech to stand roughly toe to toe with a B Wing in jousting efficiency, which is a huge buff. It also makes guys like Biggs and Tarn Mison far more durable, and is even worth considering on Luke and Wedge depending on how much you use engine upgrade. This card is a serious buff to the X Wing, I don't get how people aren't seeing this yet.

This.
I'm already looking forward to running Wedge+R2+Engine Upgrade+ PTL+Integrated Astromech, and I'll probably run Luke next to him with R2-D2+Integrated. It really does add a nice boost to their resilience.
But if you can't see that for yourself, we'll all be enjoying our X-wings without you.
P.S. Just thought about using it with Jek Porkins. Risk using his ability, if you take damage, you can last minute get rid of it to do something awesome (Like a K-turn with an action afterwards).

Oh yeah, forgot. Eh, not really a biggie, as I never used it normally. That would just save me points.

MrMoustaffa is right, I don't think people have fully digested the implications of this card. Losing the astromech is almost a non-issue, since the most common use case is to avoid the last point of damage that you would take.

Plus - it's even better than that. Since you decide to trigger it on demand after seeing the card but before the effect is applied, you can time it to discard a Direct Hit! or Major Explosion! critical effect if you suffer one in either of your first two damage cards.
Essentially, if you were taking any astromech, it's a shield upgrade - but slightly better - for zero points.
If you weren't, bag a generic R2 astromech and you've still got a shield upgrade plus for 1 point.
It makes T65s as tough as unmodified T70s, and T70s a flat-out bugger to hurt. Especially Red Ace with a bloody Comms Relay.
The only reason not to take this is (a) on a T-70, where autothrusters are tempting instead, and (b) on a unique T-65 with a high enough pilot skill to consider an engine upgrade instead.

Yeah, T-70's it's basically a weaker, cheaper (but still good) alternative to autothrusters, that you'll take depending on the points.
