Hi, came across a used cypher figure where there were triangular bump and notch for the arms to fit in. I noticed the legion of the damned metal minis had these too. Then I came across a packaged Citadel cypher where the notch and tab are missing. My question is were both versions GW or one a fake? My best guess is they are both GW and the packaged version an improvement over the other. Am I correct? I have 3 packaged legion of the damned figures with the same notch and tab as cypher, so I know those are not fake.

What material? Metal, early finecast, or late finecast?

Should still be legit, then. Molds for metal models have to be replaced after awhile, so sometimes a model may be recut to to cast better or to assemble better. It also just depends on who did the job of doing the molding.

indeed technically the correct way was to have the triangle notch n tab set but its been known to not be present on plenty of pieces its a result of the model extraction process from the mould that was used as the pouring point for the liquid metal and sometimes it got shaved down too far during the adjusting process
