I'll just leave this here. I'm guessing there's a source that influenced both of them, rather than that Miller read "Nausicaa" and had this particular page/scene stick with him. Would like to know what the common source is (if there is one):

Not really seeing the same connections here as well.
"WITNESS ME!" is shouted before doing an act that will (hopefully) lead to a heroic death.
This is just someone shouting something rather crossly.

Nope, not really seeing any similarities, apart from the fact "witness" and "Valhalla" are said by the same person.
EDIT: I'm not even sure the same people ever say the two words in Fury Road.

Fury Road was influenced by Mad Max (1979). Nausicaa is based on a Japanese folk-tale, usually called "The Princess Who Loved Insects".

Thanks, I'd forgotten about that. I could only think of the others, who screamed "Witness me, my brothers!" and died in a ball of fire.
