I have a tournament on Wednesday and I'm thinking about flying a Scum list for the first time (competitively, anyways). I've been trying out the YV-666 because I think it looks awesome and I like the pilots, especially Moralo. Right now, I have it narrowed down to two lists, both featuring HLC Moralo with a couple of support ships. List 1: Moralo Eval (34) Heavy Laser Cannon (7) Outlaw Tech (2) Tactician (2) K4 Security Droid (3) Inertial Dampeners (1) Syndicate Thug (18) Twin Laser Turret (6) Unhinged Astromech (1) Syndicate Thug (18) Twin Laser Turret (6) Unhinged Astromech (1) Total: 99 View in Yet Another Squad Builder I've flown this list in a few games and it has served me well. So far, the games I have played were against high health, low agility ships and the HLC has just chewed through them and the TLTs did their thing, delivering a steady stream of damage. I like this list because it allows me to use the Y-wings to cover Moralo's blind spot should someone get behind him. I have played it with Anti-Pursuit Lasers on Moralo to give him an edge should he need to block someone with the stop maneuver or Inertial Dampeners. It's dealt damage, but I'm not totally sold on it. List 2: Moralo Eval (34) Heavy Laser Cannon (7) Outlaw Tech (2) Tactician (2) K4 Security Droid (3) Inertial Dampeners (1) Black Sun Ace (23) Lightning Reflexes (1) Inertial Dampeners (1) Black Sun Ace (23) Lightning Reflexes (1) Inertial Dampeners (1) Total: 99 View in Yet Another Squad Builder Moralo is the same as the first one, but the addition of two Black Sun Aces is something I'm interested in trying. I've flown against the K-fighter and I thought it was a pretty tough little ship. Using the BSA gives me a little bit of Predator protection and access to the Elite upgrades. I like Lighting Reflexes because being able to turn 180 degrees is pretty awesome and I added Inertial Dampeners because everyone loves the stop maneuver, especially me! Thoughts? Ideas?

The y's are probably better support ships on paper, the kihraxz's will be a lot more fun and flexible.
I like the idea of lightning reflexes/inertial dampeners as well, makes for an extremely unpredictable ship

Yeah, that's why I'm torn... The Y's are dependable but boring and I have experience flying them. However, the unpredictability of the K-fighter with those two upgrades is pretty tempting.
Do you have any experience with the K-fighter? If so, how did you like it?

I just got one but have yet to fly it. I've done very well with x wings in the past so I would assume these would be great as they are literally just more efficient generic x wings.
Have you flown this list yet? I would definitely do a test match or two with them

I like the idea of running two IG-88 ships myself for the hivemind type antics. Throw in a couple of cheap chumps to back them up, and have a field day.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I've flown the first list with the Y-wings and enjoyed it tremendously. It's a good balance of high hull/shield (28 combined across all three ships) and solid, consistent damage ( TLT is steady and a fully modified HLC shot can hit like a truck).
I'm just eager to try the K-fighter because I think it's a neat looking ship and with the upgrades I want to equip, it should have some nasty tricks. I don't think I'll have time before Wednesday to play test it though, but that wouldn't stop me from flying it... I don't mind flying an untested list in a monthly causal tournament.

I'm no expert, but if you bring something unexpected, you'll have your opponents on edge, and that is a big advantage.
