So, i got the starter for Space Wolves, and i am trying to come up with what i want to play. Been reading TWC seems to be one way, or Bjorn and 2 vern dreads, and lastly.. iron priest, grey hunters, and longshots.

I am looking into 1500 points for now, until the league i am planning on joining figures their new points.

I tend to run 2 TWC's with Harald Deathwolf and a wolf priest on a bike to give them FNP, grey hunters in drop pods one squad with ulrik, and a stormfang gunship with decent success.

The dreadnoughts seem pretty lackluster as they either can't close into CC quick enough or just stand there to be shot when coming out of a drop pod.

venerable dreadnaught is a good little tank sniper, twin linked lascannon is all you need. he stands in your backline and shoots, if anyone drop (pods) on by to say hi they have a very rough conversation with his powerfist

I meant venerable dreds with the SS and axe. With weapons they can be pretty good.

Depends on if you want to be competitive, or if you just want to have fun and play games. If just to play games for fun bring what ever you want. If you want to win, use CoF supplement and just bring guys on thunderwolves and the fliers.
