I have 9 Tie Fighters soon to be 11, 4 of them are tie/fo fighters. What is the best build I can make with those at 150 pts? I also have the cards from the Imperial Aces, Tie bomber, Tie Phantom, Tie Advanced, slave 1, imperial lander, 2x normal core sets, 2x new core sets, 2x interceptor packs. Curious as to the best swarm build people know.

Depending on how you fly, swarms of Academy pilots can be a very scary sight.

Personally, I like the idea of a Black squadron swarm with Vetran Instincts. You can run a squad of 6 Black Squadron Pilots with VI and Twin Ion Engine Mk II for 96 points. That leaves you with 54 points to run something else.

Add in a 7th Black squadron then run two Omega Squadron TIE/fo's with the same loadout, 150 points.

There are ups and downs of playing TIE Swarm... first off, it his hard to do well. You need to practice a lot and even then it is very taxing. Rather than a 12 Academy list, I do recommend taking Black Squadron Pilots mostly. Howlrunner is a great lead for a squad of 3-5 Blacks. Throw Backstabber and Dark Curse as a 2 ship support element, and you'll have a great start. Sadly, you don't have Draw their Fire as they give Howlrunner a great durability boost when you put them on a Black or two.
I really like Whisper, and you have all the elements you need to run a nicely done Whisper. Veteran Instincts, Rebel Captive, Advanced Cloaking Device and either Advanced Sensors or Fire Control System.
