So my understanding is that this formation is fielded as a new unit for all intents and purposes. So does that mean that nothing can leave this unit and nothing join?

For instance I want my haemonculus to run off to a new unit and my talos to charge a nearby threat and the cronos to use his bubble to the best of his ability? Can I do this or are they stuck together till death do they part?

All stuck together.

Do you think in low points games they work well? or just in general? I really like the idea of my MC getting in their face fast but it is a lot of points.

One of the best units we have.

They work great with a WWP. I prefer Ichor Injector and Heat Lance; Scissorhand, Liquifier Gun, Vexator Mask, and Webway Portal; Spirit Probe.

Ultramarine Master with Gauntlets of Macragge

What's left of Cadia

It is a pretty good unit, it may be expensive, but at low points levels it can do work

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

I had my build as ichor injector and spirit probe WWP and scissor hand. Keep it as bare bones as i can really.
I can see how a heat land would be very useful though. I thought SC would be more use though?

It can be. I face lots of guys in boxes, and like the ability to Lance the box open and then charge the guys who were inside.

Your proposed build is the best 'bare bones,' and I don't think you'll go wrong with it.

Friend of mine loe this thing. I can just tell you that, as Tau, I have very few things taht can really dent it.

PS: try to put your Chronos away from the fire. He's the first thing people will try to kill

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

Good tip and also good to know Tau struggles to hurt it as my main opponent is tau. He is fond of the devil fish though so not a bad idea with the heat lances, only issue being can't charge the turn it gets there so staying in range for the charge could be a pain.

Use the DS to sandwich the fish between two units. The fish also isn't Fast, so that helps.
