So, I am slowly coming up with the composition pack for next year's NOVA AoS GT, and I wanted to bounce some ideas off folks.

Last year we completely banned shooting into and out of close combat, which was a polarized decision. I think this year we are going to continue to prevent units in close combat from shooting, but I am strongly leaning towards allowing units to shoot into close combat with the following modification:

When shooting into a close combat, resolve hits normally, however all misses must be resolved against a friendly unit in said close combat (if there is more than one engaged friendly unit randomize which is struck).

This enables units with shorter ranged weapons to still have a chance to use them, without empowering all missile troops to the point where I would need to institute a shot cap (like in base Clash Comp).

Anyone have any thoughts or feelings on the matter (especially those with shorter missile ranges like Dwarves)?

Thanks!
