I have a game coming up with a new player. He just picked up the Dark Vengeance set and hasn't decided which army to play yet. I thought I would reach out to the community to confirm the points of the factions in the DV set, and if these have changed at all in 7th edition. I found these old threads:

that say the Dark Angels are around 750pts and the CSM are around 500 points. Is that still accurate?

I was planning on bringing my Orks, and I just want to make sure it will be a somewhat balanced game (points-wise). Thanks in advance!

Tell him that the DA set, when played as Fallen (the chaos version) added to the chaos set make an amazing starter CSM army!

Just call them Nurgle Bikers, Nurgle Terminators, a Sorceror, and 10 chaos marines and you just have to add rhinos!
