Hey guys, for those that do not know they have recently posted pictures of the new Tau Crisis Suits and the new Tau Commander Suit and honestly I'm a big fan of both! However I am currently sitting on x18 old Crisis Suits and x2 Commander Suits that have been commissioned painted by a pro and are completely magnetized. Being a somewhat indecisive individual by nature I am having a little trouble trying to decide what I want to do with them. I've narrowed it down to three possible scenarios:

1). Focus on purchasing the rest of my Tau army and hold on to my older suits. Once the rest of my force is completed by then phase out the older suits for new ones using the funds I receive from selling the old ones.

2). Keep all my older suits and mix an = number of the newer ones into the collection. This can be somewhat supported by fluff since I play Farsight Enclaves it could be argued that they would have different versions of suits due to not having forge capabilities of the Tau Empire.

3). Purchase enough of the new suits to make them Sergeants for my regular Crisis Suit teams and to create "the 8" special chatacters from the Farsight Enclaves book.

I would really appreciate hearing back from you guys who have had experience in dealing with this and what y'all would feel would be the best course of action. Thanks for helping an indecisive player out!

What's left of Cadia

I would say option 2. There's no reason why you can't have both old and new suits in your army. I use both the older amd newer tactical marines in my army

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

A lot of it stems from the fact that it looks like the new crisis suits look to be bigger and bulkier than the old ones which would make them really stand out. Not pulling the trigger until I see you model first hand just observations I made and why I'm debating it.

Get the new suits and run them as Crisis bodyguards as opposed to normal teams.
