Hammer in the New Year Grand Tournament

Huzzah Hobbies will be hosting a Grand Tournament on January 23-24, 2016. This will be a 5 round 32 player event.

Format -

This event will be 1850 points and will be using ITC Format and FAQ.

The event will have 32 players and will be 5 rounds. 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday.

Saturday:

9 am Check-In

10 am Round 1

1 pm Lunch

2 pm Round 2

5:15 pm Round 3

Sunday:

8:30 am Doors Open

9 am Round 4

12-1230 pm Lunch

1245 pm Round 5

4 pm Award Ceremony

The price of this event will be $40. It is preferred you pay beforehand. This also will save your spot, so if you show up day of and have not registered beforehand and we're full I can't do much! Hey all I just wanted to post this up because its SO FREAKING COOL! On Sunday I went and picked up the Grand Prize for the Tournament. A life sized Thunderhammer!



So with that being said I'll be ordering the trophies later this week and hopefully posting our painting rubric as well.

This is shaping up to be an awesome event and I honestly can't wait till January! We've got plenty of spots left so I suggest to sign up sooner rather than later!

Yeah the online registration is a bit archaic. Essentially you email me at elphilo40k at gmail dot com and I tell you the email address to paypal the payment to. Its the store owner's email so I don't want to just be posting it online.

Hey Everyone! First I wanted to say that I hope you all had an enjoyable Holidays and had a Happy New Year!

So with the event looming ever closer (21 days!) I just wanted to post and say that as of today we have 20 people signed up, so that means only 12 more slots are left! We'll be going down the list in a first come first serve basis. Google Forms does a time stamp when you sign up so that's how we'll be determining that priority. So sign up quick! Please note that you don't need to pay to sign up on the waiting list. Just put your name and email address and if a spot opens up we'll be contacting you.

You could also try your luck day of to see if we have any day of drops, but we'll continue using that priority list as who to determine to get the next available spot!

So I already sent this to the attendees but I wanted to start posting this around just in case they missed the email!

Hey I just wanted to let you know that we're following closely the potential snowstorm that's going to hit our area this weekend. Right now we're hoping that it won't be bad enough to cause more than a one hour delay on Saturday. But we are going to be playing this one by ear. Huzzah is trying to figure out a potential make up date if we do have to cancel the event.

Once I know for sure what's going on you will be the first to know!

Hey Guys I just wanted to say with heavy heart that due to the snow we're going to be postponing Hammer in the New Year to February 27-28 2016. Here is the email I just sent out to people:

Hey I just wanted to let you know that we have come to a decision about the snow this weekend. We're going to postpone Hammer in the New Year to Feb. 27-28th.

If you can't make that date let me know and I'll get a refund for you. Hopefully you can make it!

I'd like to apologize as well. I know we all had our hopes up for some awesome gaming this weekend and the snow had to screw it all up!

But I hope to hear you'll be able to make it!
