So I am constructing an imperial knight to be a companion for my grey knights. I was looking for input on some strong builds to support. I am leaning heavily toward the Knight Crusader because of its high rate of fire cannon at medium range, and getting the rapid fire battle cannon for some long range fire power. Also, the carapace weapon, thoughts on if it's generally worth it? It seems that for long range it could boost that up a little bit (but expensive) but my list has 0 dedicated anti-air and was considering maybe at least putting the twin auto-cannons there. Though at the same time...with the RAW 22.5 degree limits, it seems really weak.

I think GK struggle to deal with heavy armor and fliers, no? If so I think an errant with the autocannon is the answer.

I use an Errant with my GK at 1850 and up. It brings the large AP1 plate and the D which makes it great a stealing agro from my DKs and Draigo.

The Warden is another good match for GK, with its high rate of fire cannon.
