Here's a list I've been having a lot of fun with. I call it my "Walking Dead" list. It'll be obvious why.
Caster: Ashlynn or Fiona. Usually Ashlynn.
Nomad
Gastone with Mule
Sam and Devil Dogs with Bucaneer.
Steelhead halberdiers
Alexia and the Risen
Ord piper
Ragman
Savio Acosta
Brief fluff: It's supposed to be the Lleallese Resistance and the shady Thamarites are there to show how desperate they've become. The Nomad is a converted Marineer to show a "good deal" they got from an Ordic trader. Both Gastone and Ord Piper have been converted to females as kind of a girl power thing.
Here's why I call it the Walking Dead: Steelheads and Devil Dogs basically have victim stats, but they can do some damage. They run up, kill as much as they can...While Alexia is RIGHT behind them collecting every soul she can. (Ord Piper is giving Steelheads tough) But by the time the Steelheads die, the board explodes in zombies. The living troops are there to kill and be killed and are fated for Alexia's control. Now, here's the lynch pin in the list's strategy.... While the 20 zombies (with Ragman support) tie up everything, Ashlynn and Acosta make a run for an assassination.
This isn't just theory. I've been playing it and love it.
Last game Acosta and Ashlynn were running up the side of the board while Ragman buffed zombies took out a whole bunch of Cygnar infantry. His Haley ran as far away from the duo as possible...
right into Alexia's range. She charged and burned through almost every zombie she had killing her.
The Buccaneer and Devil dogs are to tie up heavies. The Nomad is there for some punch and the Mule is fire support. (my 50pt version has the Mule with Arcane gun mages and officer)
The Mule on Ashlynn's feat turn is amazing. Its a list that I think will catch most people off guard. It uses a lot of "sub optimal" units that people don't see a lot of but for one unified goal.
And here's most of my list. (I think this shot's missing a few)
