So based on the rules and everything I've seen, I purchased the wall. NOWWW i must know how to effectively use this new fortification.
What I like is that it moves 6inches and gives troops the ability to still fire like normal. This is really only useful in my eyes to heavy weapons such as pathfinders and maybe broadside.
question is, is how would you run this new kit coming out and would you mainly try pathfinders or would you bring a broadside up on it???
I just want to hear what others think about the rules and their ideas

One formation I have seen is a triangular shape that maximizes the ability for it to reflect shots back. Stick a squad of Fire Warriors in there and have them go to ground every time something shoots at it.

So it would normally be a 4+ cover save wouldnt it? and then if you went to ground though that would be a turn taken out of for shooting wouldnt it??
I think the ability to reroll 1's to hit would be perfect for markerlights or even stealthsuits. I dont im still trying to think over ideas
I thought if you put this in the backfield you could have a hammerhead with disruption pods and then would that give it a 3+ if your shot at from in front of the shieldline

Another important factor is what model you use to trigger the Railgun. I think the best options are currently a Cadre Fireblade, an Etheeal and a Firesight Marksman.
Another important consideration is to figure out which model should be positioned on the Drone Rig to act as a spotter for the Railgun. I think an Ethereal or a Shield Drone are probably the best choices to forego their shooting as they have no ranged attacks.

a marksmen actually sounds like a really good idea for that!!! wouldnt its shrouded ability help stack up its save as well?
Or if you give a cadre fireblade they would not count as moving which would allow double shots on top of twin-linked .
the thing is supposed to hold 50 models so Im assuming there is room for alot of models. This combined with assualts by suits and other things on the sides and front of this thing and it seems like it could do pretty well

so that would give a marksmen a 3+ if stationed at the gunrig at which point it can give up its shooting in order to fire the gunrig and any marklights can be made up by shasui, pathfinders or marker drones from the droneport which i believe is inclluded in the price of the droneport??

I'd put stuff that need a cover save to survive behind it and shoot at my enemy.
