These threads tend to never go anywhere good. Sometimes guys just think girls don't have it as bad as they claim and some think that 'feminists' aren't for women so much as certain women. I think part of the issue is what's claimed. If all women are the ones being catered to then anybody that isn't a woman or doesn't identify as one is left out (usually men). Some feminists are for things that other feminists are not which leads to the all too hilarious and pathetic fighting between feminists with different agendas. There's also the hatred of women as sex objects but sometimes they tend to not understand a pretty woman being free to express herself as ok so they're against that. Other times an attractive woman walking through new York city and being told 'Hello!' by shopkeepers and followed by people in bad neighborhoods without proper context that that's what's going on is considered against feminism (they think it's her being female rather than being attractive causing the cat calls and yes there is a video of an attractive male model doing the same thing and getting the same results from gay men and women).
Do girls sometimes have it bad? Yes. Do guys sometimes have it bad? Also yes. Why are we trying to call equality feminism and make things equal by only fixing things with one sex? I honestly don't know. To be fair it might be tackling the same problem from two different angles. Both sides MRA's and feminists want equality but they attack it from different angles first (though some just want rights for their respective gender and couldn't care less about the other). Really they're fighting each other often when together they could just help things with equality and be done with it. It's kinda pathetic how it is.
My problem with equality though is that nothing is equal and trying to make everything absolutely equal just doesn't work. There are rich and poor, strong and weak and smart and dumb. It's kind of a gauge of things and nothing will ever truly be equal. Can we fix some things? Maybe but it might not be good in every case. If everybody made the exact same amount of money what point is there to do harder work. Is it equality if I'm doing harder work and getting paid the same amount? Things are weird like that. Equality can be a dumb idea sometimes.
Also in my opinion feminism isn't too needed in western countries anymore. In asia, the middle east, Africa and 3rd world countries it is but in first world western countries it's kind of a joke like most 'first world problems'. I'm sure I will also receive flak for my opinions but this is the internet so it's going to happen anyway.
