Hi There, could someone please help out. I am currently building a squad of Blood Warriors, but I am slightly confused over the rules, does the squad have to have either goreaxes or gorefists or can it have a mix? The warscoll says "Gorefists: Each time you make a successful save roll for a unit that contains any models carrying Gorefists," so could I arm just 2 guys with gorefists and the rest with goreaxes to get the re-roll of hits aswell?
If anyone can give a definite answer I would appreciate it.

it's in the description of the unit. It says some units are equipped with... meaning a unit has to be equipped the same way.

Thought it was too good to be true, thanks anyway.

At the GW here the manager said that every model is equipped with what you actually built them with. I went home and had to break all my minotaurs arms off and give them great axes because before I had a couple like that, and a couple with two hand weapons, and a couple with shields. When he attacked I was supposed to nominate who took the hit. It was tedious. This really doesn't help you but I thought I would throw that out there.

I would not play there... How hard is it to say "they all have great axes" ? If you wanted a mix of models, than do it man. Plus, a GW manager has no say over rulings outside of his store. And, if he really has this kind of power, I am glad I do not play at GW stores. I love to mix my guys up with different things. That way if you want to try new things it is easier. Not everyone wants to buy 3 of the same guy so they can have 3 different sets of weapons.

Sounds like a conflict between wysiwyg and the rules - very narrowminded of the manager to not to let people playing with mixed units just announce what weapon set they are armed prior to the game We believe the majority of the models should be modeled correctly to make it easier for the opponent to see what the unit is armed with, though.
