So I have Betrayal at Calth coming at Christmas and wanted to get some opinions on which way to go with the special units I'm going to make for my 30k army. I am going to make my 5 cataphractii as such:
sergeant - double claws
2x termies - double claws
1x termy - fist/combi-bolter
1x termy - chainfist/combi-bolter or heavy flamer?

I am going to be acquiring 20 spell crow single fan jump packs to make 2x10 legion assault units as follows:
sergeant - artificer armor, 2x claws, melta bombs
2x marines w/power weapons (swords, axes?)

I will also be converting the chaplain model to a Vigilator w/that awesome cloak (cameoline upgrade for RG) and the nice bolter for his mace hand.

Now I have a couple of options for the last 10 MkIV armor sets I have. I can do a 10 man legion tactical squad w/an artificer sergeant and a vexillia, I can do a 5 man heavy support squad with heavy bolters, a 5 man seeker squad (probably my first choice) or a 5 man legion veteran tactical squad with a suspensor HB and upgraded sergeant/vexillia.

This is the list I am going with for now, C&C welcome!

Legion Centurion (Vigilator) - bolter, artificer armor, cameoline cloak
Legion assault squad - srg w/artificer armor, 2x claw, melta bombs +2 power weapons
Legion assault squad - srg w/artificer armor, 2x claw, melta bombs +2 power weapons
Contemptor Dreadnaught - kheres assault cannon, plasma blaster
Legion Terminator squad - srg w/2x claws, two 2x claw, fist/bolter, chainfist/bolter
Legion Seeker squad - srg w/artificer armor,melta bombs, 2x combi-weapons
Legion Heavy Support Squad - srg w/artificer armor, augury scanner all heavy bolters
total: 1497

So the Cataphractii terminators and the seekers are counted as scoring, like the assault squads, which is cool. I was trying to take units that were like the raven guard (jump troops and stealthy/sniper-y troops) and use my BaC models. There were times Corax unleashed his terminator armored brothers and dreadnaughts. It might be cool to get a drop pod for the dreadnaught as well and put a multi melta on him, you think?

Is anything really out of place? I know there's not a LOT of anti-tank in there at all, other than the terminators and assault marines in combat with power fists and melta bombs. Do I need to not have as many lightning claws on the terminators and go with hammers or fists/chainfists?

Thanks for the C&C dakka!

So with my BaC box I am thinking I am going to add a deredeo dread to it as my first addition. The terminators also need to be more focused on being heavy hitters so I think more hammers/axes/fists/chainfists will be the better build for that unit. I have revised my list to include the deredeo and be more 'sneaky raven guard-y'

Centurion - consul (vigilator), artificer armor, refractor field, melta bomb, cameoline cloak
Legion Assault Squad - srg w/dual claw, artificer armor, melta bomb & 2 power weapons in the squad
Legion Assault Squad - srg w/dual claw, artificer armor, melta bomb & 2 power weapons in the squad
Contemptor Dreadnought - kheres assault cannon, graviton gun
Veteran Tactical Squad - srg w/artificer armor & legion vexillia
Legion Seeker Squad - srg w/artificer armor & 2 combi-weapons
Deredeo Dreadnought - anvilus autocannons, ailos missile launcher

Total: 1500 on the nose

I think this will play like the raven guard, 20 assault marines, sneaky seekers w/their vigilator leader and dreadnought support. I'm looking to expand with dreads instead of armor, because they would keep the 'sneaky' theme going better than tanks would. What do you all think of the list?

How are the Seekers scoring?

They have the Implacable Advance special rule, like Veteran Tactical squads, which makes them scoring.

Any thoughts on the list?

I think the Termies shouldn't have mixed weapons. But I don't know how 30k works so you can ignore me. XD

It is, of course, much easier to shout, abuse, and howl than to attempt to relate, to explain. - Lenin

In 30k you can give the terminators any weapon you want to replace the power weapon they come standard with (so all axes doesn't cost anything) you just have to pay the points for them. They aren't terribly expensive either, especially given that upgrading from normal 2+/5++ terminator armor to cataphractii terminator armor 2+/4++ is FREE

I wanted the claws for the attacks, but I don't see the slow pondering terminators making combat ever game so I wanted them to have some ranged teeth. Might go back and add in an autocannon to make their ranged better as well, but you only get a heavy flamer in the BaC box I think.
