So for the past few months or so, I've been looking for some inspiration to expand on my Chaos collection with little luck... Until this morning.
I was reading through my Khornkin codex, and low and behold, as I turned the page, it caught me and left a long, red paper cut along the back of my finger. Apparently even the book itself is bloodthirsty!

I take this as a sign that perhaps I should go ahead and flesh out my two units of 16 Bloodletters into a fully fledged Khornekin army!?

Now I'm not looking to go full-on competitive 'Tournament' mode with this army. (my dice suck way too much - especially my armour saves!) However, I'm also not looking for a super weaksauce pushover either, (which is what Chaos Marines in general are nowadays)

I've been thinking of a rough list along the lines of;
HQ's: Wrath of Khorne 'Thirster + 2x Heralds (1 Jugger + 1 Throne) + Jugger Lord w/Goredrinker

Elites:
5 Possessed
5 'Crushers w/Champ + Banner (Jugger Lord's angry escort)
3 Crushers w/Instrument

Troops:
2x small Cultists units
2x min-sized Bloodletters
1x Chaos Marine w/2 Flamers + Rhino
1x 'Zerkers w/Axe of Khorne champ + Rhino

Fast:
2x 4 Bikers w/Meltaguns
13 Hounds
5 Raptors w/2x Flamer

Heavy:
Grinder

Basically, looking to fit most everything into a Slaughter Cult + Gorepack formations, with a few frills on the side. Obviously I won't be using everything at once, and I'd still like to add in a few Dreadnoughts loaded with flamers, (I still like Tzeentch and killing things with fire comes naturally), maybe a Maulerfiend too?
Perhaps maybe also add in a small Termie unit as well, since I have the 'Crushers and could then run a Brazen Onslaught from time to time? If so, what's the better way to run Khornate Termies? (I'm used to min Tzeentch w/combi-plasmas for cheapo & annoying Termicides)


Also, I'm curious on the modeling side of things, how do the current Chaos Marine models look on the newer 32mm's?
I'm going to be moving my converted Bloodletters over to the new 32's, and would like to keep all the infantry, (bar th Cultists obviously!), on the same size bases. However, being the older, 'squatting' style poses, do the Chaos Marines look too tiny to properly fill out the larger 32's?

The theme/backstory I'm thinking of for the army is that the CSM contingent are fallen Blood Angel successors. (Knight of Blood Chapter) Thus, has anyone mixed the newer Loyalist kits with the older Chaos stuff yet? If so, how well do they stack up?

Well according to you khornekin are better than the base chaos marines. If it could get you to be less salty about your army it'd only be a good thing.

Blood Angel Successors are most obvious I'd figure but it'd make most sense. Some loyalist chapters do have flaws that could easily fit certain chaos god's styles. Too much blood rage. If khornekin don't work out for you then you could always chaos-ify the blood angels rules .

Little off topic but it'd be nice if you'd reply to my last PM. Was gonna go Christmas shopping and it'd be nice to know if I have a person to shop for or not. Wasn't going to be much but still it's something.
