Subject: Orbital Bombardment in 30K[Rules Question]
So several of the primarchs and the master of signals consul have an orbital bombardment attack which is an Ordnance type attack. The master of signal can do it "in lieu of firing a weapon" and for Perturabo it doesn't count as firing a weapon. So do these Orbital Bombardments skip the usual Ordnance restrictions on moving and firing by virtue of not being a regular weapon based shooting attack?

No, The usual resttictions for Ordanance still apply
The only Reason it has "In Lieu of firing a weapon" is because the MoS will have a pistol or other weapon
Pertuarbo has a special Variant of the Bombardment that makes the "In Lieu of firing a weapon" not be part of the restrictions

Fair enough, I thought that might be the case. The whole not counting as firing a weapon was just throwing me off in terms of which restrictions applied, especially when the body text adds its own set of restrictions.
