i was wondering if somebody could do a decent tau list for me as i am planning to start a Tau army this christmas but not sure where to start so if somebody could make me a decent starters list for around 100 Great British Pounds (im in the uk)
i would like it to be up to £100 if possible but ok to go over a little bit (~£5?)

As far as usable vs best bang for your buck its hard to say, if you want friendly games youre pretty solid on a lot of route but you want to make sure you have options to expand on. If you are planning to go more suit heavy vs varrior heavy it might change your options.

Could do one of the sets like counterstrike cadre or combined ops for a couple sets of firewarriors and either proxy or purchase cadre fireblade.

Is this for a certain event or are you planning to expand on the army later? if so do you like. Math up some of those box sets because sometimes you can save some bucks here and there on them compared to individual models.

I'd aim for a Hunter Cadre to start. It's going to be more than a hundred without deals on Ebay, but it's a nice formation that will give you good rules and an excellent start.
