Subject: Apocalypse Battle - 13th Black Crusade - 6k CSM vs 3k Astra Militarium & 3k Space Wolves (Video Up)
"And lo, as the veil is drawn on the last age of Man, the Despoiler shall gather his hosts once more. Where twelve times before the Faithful have cast him out, now shall he prove their undoing. For Man has grown weak, despairing at the woes of the galaxy. Where are the Faithful now? Where are the men that stood beside our Lord the Immortal Emperor and at his side conquered all? Gone. They are less than ashes in the cold, cold earth. At the Thirteenth hour shall the Despoiler return. All Humanity shall tremble, for lo, his doom is upon him." — The last Oration of the Heretic Archivist of the Gethsemene Reclusium
We are fighting an Apocalypse game this Monday the 28th of December. I will take some short video clips of each turn and will make the decision to either make the report a video report or a standard picture battle report. In addition, I have the option to mix a little bit of both formats. I have not played a game over 1850pts in a long time. We will see how I hold up.
I figured with the game being an apocalypse sized match I thought it only fitting to represent the black crusade and have every god represented. Let me know what you all think of the list!
HQ:
Abaddon the Despoiler (WL) will lead the terminators
Typhus will lead the zombie horde
Kharn will lead the berzerker horde
Daemon Prince of Tzeentch (Wings; LVL 3; Black Mace; GoM; Spell Familiar) Will be a solo beat stick (Didn't have my Ahriman model assembled yet )
Nurgle Bike Lord (Sigil; PF; MB; GoM) will lead the bike unit
Elite:
10 Terminators (Mark of Slaanesh; Icon of Excess; VoLW; 3x melta; 3x flamer; 2x Reaper; GoM)
10 Possessed (GoM; Tzeentch)
10 Thousand Sons (Rhino; GoM; MB; VoLW)
Battle Plan: Obviously my army is built to get up close and personal. I took the void shield generator to make sure I don't get killed off on the first turn or two. I plan to foot slog my way across the board with the berzerkers and the cultist. I have decided yet if I want to add Abaddon to the suicide charge yet or not. The obliterators are there to offer fire support or deepstrike to take out key targets. The hellblade is my only real ant-air beyond the firestorm. Treating this like the 13th crusade where I do not have superior air power but I have the superior ground force... at least in numbers. For the sake of time I will probably not be summoning any daemons in this match. Otherwise it would be a good idea to summon daemons as they did in the crusade. Any thoughts on the list or how I should play the army? Im trying to make the game as enjoyable to both sides as possible. I know sometimes these bigger games can turn one sided very fast. Is the VSG too much?

Prelude:
Spoiler:
The Chaos Forces launched several orbital strikes which eventually a few made it passed the extensive shields and caused a few breaches in the imperial fortress holding the strategically Important planet of "Pulp Fiction" along the Cadian Gate. What seemed like an easy victory was changed as a dearing relief effort was launched by an unknown space wolf company. The Conditions are set as Abaddon leads his entire cadre into the fight, hell bent on crushing the combined force before imperial reinforcements arrive that are no doubt already on their way.
Results:
Spoiler:
The game ends with the Chaos forces claiming the planet but
failing to strike a cripling blow to the imperial forces who
accomplished an almost complete withdraw overnight, leaving
the Chaos forces with the fortress but a bitter taste without the
blood being spilled upon it!
Chaos: 1 OBJ (3 VP), FB, LB, (2 VP), 9 Units Destroyed (9 VP)
Total 16 VP Imperial Forces: 2 OBJ (6 VP), 4 Units Destroyed (4 VP)
Total 10 VP Minor Chaos Victory
Hope you all enjoyed! The weather conditions here had us end the game early
