Wanting to make a bomb build that drops a mountain of proxy bombs. Here is the result.

A potential 8 proximity mines and with Experimental interface the bombers can barrel roll or focus then drop a proxy mine into a better position. Obviously this isn't a super competitive build but I can imagine it being an annoying experience.

Alternatively have three Cutlass squadron pilots (tie punisher) with the same set up and have 13 pts left over for extra upgrades. All three could have accuracy correctors so when they attack they always get at least two hits

[Didn't notice that Experimental interface was unique.... bleh. Oh well guess that frees up more points for stuff]

It's easy to assume that people arguing an interpretation you disagree with are just looking for an advantage for themselves... But it's quite often not the case.

Why? Do you have eight templates you're trying to use? I don't see how this would be fun or even competitive in any situation. Most ships will head for the edges away from the rear of your ships after slow playing the first couple of rounds. Bombers aren't that tanky so you'll likely lose one a turn.

I love me some bombs. But I think their greatest use is as a contingency, though I heard deathrain can be funky to use.

The main drawback of proximity mines is that you are reliant on dice to cause damage. With those eight templates, I'd be banking on someone failing their gauntlet run, eventually. But yeah, after a couple of mines, you're going to feel a little helpless.

I think that this list will be great against some things (Soontir Fel et al.), but will suffer vs lists that are more focused on tanky generics (TLT spamming scum lists, TIE swarms).
