Putting together my first deathguard army list. Was thinking of a fluffy list that incorporated as many ground forces/troops as possible.
Ha
Calas typhon
Centurion (chaplain)

Elites
Veteran tactical squad ten bodies w missile launcher(2)
Sergeant with combimelta

Veteran tactical squad same as above

Cataphracti terminator squad 6 bodies with two chain fist, three power fists, one combimelta, one power sword, reaper autocannon

Morris contemptor with two autocannons

Contemptor with multi melta

Troops
One tactical squad 15 bodies

Heavy support
Leviathan dreadnought two leviathan storm cannons, phosphex discharger, armoured ceramics

Heavy support team 5 bodies with heavy bolsters

Comes in around 1945 I believe. Any advice would help or advice on taking this list to 3000 points?

more terminators, more tactical marines, maybe a vindicator. A big mistake I see with 30k lists is they build them like normal 40k armies. in 30k, I've noticed that numbers are really important, and armies are more-often-than-not "under-staffed" if you will.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

I agree with Brennonjw.

Boys often have to come before toys. I rarely put more than a vexilla and a melta bomb on a tac squad. I will, though, add on the 10 additional bodies. Occasionally I will give them CCW, usually if I am taking the reaping.

I still have yet to find a place in a list for vet tacticals. I want to like them, but their cost just adds up too fast. For the about same points as a full squad kitted out I could have twice as many tacticals which I know I can rely on to get somewhere and do something. This is a game where acceptable losses can mean something to marines.

I'd recommend an apothecary or two for your list if you do decide to go with larger squads. The extra durability they provide is well worth it.

Another thing I often forgo is the vanilla terminator squad. If I have an open heavy support slot I always take grave wardens instead. Deathshoud otherwise. 2 wound terminators are awesome. If you already got the termies I'd say use the for a terminator command squad. The fearless banner bubble when well placed is solid gold.
