Maddening Mutant Boss of Chaos

Looking for a little general consensus,

We know, we as gamers can post our horror stories and transgressions committed by a place of business. But when one store goes so far as to flat out lie and commit slander and defamation to other 'store owners', in an attempt to defame a person, what recourse can/should be taken?

A store owner has "banned" me from his store, now I have not been in the store to play for over a year now, and their really is nothing going on their anyway. But recent events lead this owned to go onto a "store owner" face book forums and really spread some viscous untruths. The only thing is this, multiple non-store owners sent me messages and screen shots of the post slandering me this morning, so clearly it is not limited to store owners. Furthermore, the ban is of no consequence and comes as no surprise, but its the slander and lies to other store owners that has me rattles. I prepared an email to send to store owners I know on that said face-book thread, but I do not know all of them, and clearly its spread further than just owners. But the more I wrote and reread i realized it was much more about what the store owner was doing to a lot of gamers in the community and less about me. I want to turn to dakka dakka to spread my response far and wide and my side of the big picture/story, to show the lies said hold no merit when examined logically.

So is the horror story to be shared? Does one post the facebook post that contains the slander? Is even a response and a defense sharing the truth of the matter as well as the logical sense of facts on the bigger picture worth it?
Again the ban is no biggie, its the post and spreading of lies to other store owners that is the offense and perhaps merits a defense/response.

Under the couch

I'm reminded of the old adage that there are three sides to any dispute: Your side, their side, and what actually happened - which is usually somewhere in the middle.

If someone is speading lies about you on Facebook, your best recourse is to report it to Facebook. There is unlikely to be anything to be gained by stirring up drama here.
