As per the above topic, my LGS is having huge discounts for WHFB items. I'm not a miniature gamer but I do enjoy warhammer fiction.

I was wondering if it is worth getting the core rulebook or army books just for the fluff?

Thank you

Hmm in my opinion yes and no. I enjoy my 8th edition Empire book still, but I always wanted more from it.

Particularly the book goes into great length to tell the history of the Empire. But it's all incredibly boring for the most part.

I wanted to hear about the intrigue and plotting of the Imperial court, the dark underbelly of the Empire cities. The different cultures and sub cultures within - but it only skims the surface.

Still, there is interesting tidbits here and there, usually with some great artwork.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

unless its just for kicks or fluff for FFG's IMO great rpg, then not really worth it. AoS pretty much tanks all the fluff
