Welcome to 2016!

The PAGE crew has a whole year's worth of great 40k events already planned with Redcap's Corner in downtown Philadelphia, featuring:

- Quarterly beginner's tutorial nights;
- A multi-month narrative series;
- Several standard tournaments;
- A new, larger event.

Here's a few items to get on your radar right now.

Beginner's Battles

Every few months we'll have a couple veteran players lined up for Thursday evening tutorial games. Bring your fledgling army or use opposing forces we'll have on hand to either give 40k a try, or start really learning how to play. Our first beginner night is slated for the end of this month, just enough time to get your models ready!

January 28th (Thursday), 6pm: 40k Beginners' Battles
Interested in Warhammer 40,000? Come on out and play a tutorial game or two with veteran players, talk about painting and modeling, or discuss the grimdark future of a classic science fiction universe! Bring your own army or just show up, we'll have full games prepped to play.

Timauk Narrative

Throughout the start of the year we'll also be continuing the narrative battle around planet Timauk, begun with our Burning Stars combat patrol.

January 31st (Sunday), 6pm: 40k Narrative One-Shot
A half-day event for the opening salvo of our first narrative campaign for 2016. Players join up into alliances to continue the Timauk story introduced with our 2015 Winter Combat Patrol: Burning Stars.

February 21 (Sunday), noon: 40k Narrative Tournament
Our Timauk narrative continues with an all-day event combining a campaign and a tournament. Matches will be organized by alliances and drive the ongoing storyline.

$10 entry, store credit prizes

March 26 (Saturday), noon: 40k Narrative Doubles Tournament
Players register and compete as teams of two, battling it out in an all-day 40k event combining tournament and narrative play. Matches will be organized by alliances to determine the conclusion of our Timauk narrative.
1000 points per player, 2 players per team
$10 entry per player, store credit prizes

LibertyHammer

This summer we will be introducing LibertyHammer, a two-day narrative wargaming event and charity fundraiser. Our hope is to build it into our largest 40k event yet, filling the wargaming space at Redcap's with a whopping 32 players. Players will be able to compete on Saturday, Sunday, or both as they fight with their alliance through a storyful Warhammer 40,000 campaign. Save the date!

June 25 (Saturday), 9:30am: LibertyHammer 40k Narrative Campaign, Day 1
Battle your way through a new, original Warhammer 40,000 campaign! Matches will be organized by alliances making collective decisions about pairings and objectives. While there will be gameplay, hobby, and other prizes, this is more of a campaign than a tournament.
1000 points
Entry fee TBD

June 26 (Sunday), 9:30am: LibertyHammer 40k Narrative Campaign, Day 2
Players register and compete as teams of two, battling it out in an all-day 40k event to conclude our LibertyHammer narrative campaign. Matches will be organized by alliances making collective decisions about pairings and objectives. While there will be gameplay, hobby, and other prizes, this is more of a campaign than a tournament.
1000 points per player, 2 players per team
Entry fee TBD

We hope to see all of you out for each of these great events!
