Hello all. Wanted to know if anybody has figured out the release order Warhammer does for its AoS/WFB line. I was curious so that I can predict when new Empire models are being released.

Also, has anyone else managed to confirm whether Tomb Kings, Beastmen, and Brettonia are being discontinued? It would be a real shame.

For Sigmar! For the Empire!

Hey Hemnloch,

First welcome to Dakka!

This thread might be better placed in the WH-AOS General Discussions forum. As it stands, there is no new information on Empire. Personally, I believe most future AOS releases will be new concepts as opposed to reinventing previous armies- the Fireslayer dwarves are a good example of this (the old dwarves still exist separately).

There's been no further information on those factions, so discontinuation rumors were probably false/clickbait. I would still expect a number of kits to transition to direct order-only (namely Finecast materials), but that shouldn't transition into army discontinuation

No information yet, although we can guess there will be a "Cult of Sigmar" army based on the only empire models to be pictured in AoS so far being from the Cult of Sigmar.

i think Accolade is right that we will see new concepts. GW do not want to continue the cycle of having to "re-do" an army and its sculpts every few years and instead want to release new stuff as this appeals to both new and old gamers equally.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

I wouldn't hold your breath for anything regarding WFB Dwarfs, Slaanesh, Empire, Brettonians or prefix-Elves.

Orcs, Ogres and Skaven look like they'll pretty much survive unscathed, so will probably go down the Lizardmen rebox+battletome.

I would have thought Beasts would be similar, but a lot of rumours suggest they are being sidelined for a while.

As Bottle said, there might be a mini-release for a 'cult of sigmar' type thing/with reboxed warrior priests and flagellants as a side to one of the campaign books.
