Can anyone tell me what model and/or who this is please?

He's the plastic Captain from the Assault on Black Reach box set. Looks as though he hasn't quite been put together correctly or has been pried apart. He's basically a push-piece mini (all parts slot together without the need for glue, though gluing is still recommended).

Fairly common mini, and a cool sculpt also.

Thanks for the advice, yeah its in pieces at the moment. I think its ugly but if its a captain I guess I'll keep it. I was hoping it would be something "better" though, like a named character.

But if you were hoping for something rare and expensive ($$ wise), then yeah, you're out of luck.

iirc that's either a generic captain or meant to represent Sicarius who led that fight the set represents; the warboss being Zanzug.

Good point about "counts-as"! By the power of proxy, all of a sudden he is Marneus Augustus Calgar, Ultramarines chapter master... just going through a kind of ugly pansy phase where he couldn't hold his bolter appropriately to save himself...
