Went to my not so close FLGS to see what they had. I wasn't going to buy anything, but I ended up buying the two starter sets, of the orks for my wife, and the death guys. Sorry I do not know their names.

I am a bit familiar with orks from 40K but don't know nothing of the death/ghost units. Just trying to get a feel for them so I can get a bit excited when I model and paint them. I stopped modelling and painting again for the umpteenth time but started again with my Chaos Knight. Taking a break from it because I am at a stand still a bit, not sure what to do, and felt I rushed it a bit so don't want to ruin it. It's the best I did so far.

So since my daughter liked having a game of Age of Sigmar, (she beat me) I thought I would get some more minis just because I am not into the Sigmarines and Chaos yet. Not feeling them. I only made the Sigmarine on the dragon beast and the guy with the whip to whip the monster. Again not familiar with the names yet. I don't like the price of the books GW is charging so haven't bought any. Will buy the new Chaos book when it comes out next week (I think, please correct me if I am wrong) so that might give me inspiration to paint the Chaos side of the boxset I bought.

So with my wife liking orks, I thought that would be a good break to take from my Chaos Knight. Just need some insight and inspiration for them. Same goes for the death/ghosts guys. Would have bought the lizard/Sepheron but they didn't have any when I was there.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Orcs are a tribal culture that rever strength and violence above everything else. The inspiration for them was football hooligans in the 1970's, loud, brash, and quick to throwing fists.

Death is basically that, ghosts, skeletons, zombies etc. They are risen by necromancy, a form of magic created by Nagash. Nagash is basically Sauron in warhammer, megalomaniac, wants total domination, cheated death numerous times due to parts of his essence being divided into his possessions. He's been undergoing something of a rebrand since the end times as humanities 'dark hope' against chaos, despite hating all living things.
