Hi guys,

I've just picked up the Tyranids box and could do with some help on building the tyrant and warriors. This is my first experience with Tyranids and advice on which options to give them would be appreciated.

Wings and Devourers on the Tyrant, I personally run my Warriors 1 Barbed Strangler 2 Deathspitters but you might not want to spend that many points on Warriors.

2500 pts Hive Fleet Gungnir

St. Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go. I owe my soul to GW's store.

Thanks for that. What would you suggest for the second set of arms, I was thinking about boneswords.

Go with Lashwhip/Bonesword combo if you're considering boneswords. Slightly more expensive but it makes you a lot more effective in combat (go big or go home basically).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Do yourself a favor and magnetize your hive Tyrant. What is powerful today may be severely gimped later. And since HT are a staple in any list above 750 points (you can squeeze on in there I'm sure), you're going to be using that Beastie almost constantly. I have two fully magnetized and plan on getting a third to make the Swarmlord. After that, probably a few more with more magets.
With the warriors, pick shooty or choppy. Lashwip+be and rending claws make them scary, but they will be vulnerable. Deathspitters with either a HVC or BS will allow them to sit back and be synapse and stay alive longer. But, you could just make what is cool.

It's fully within the rules for me to look up your Facebook page, find out your dear Mother Gladys is single, take her on a lovely date, and tell you all the details of our hot, sweaty, animal sex during your psychic phase.
I mean, fifty bucks is on the line.
There's no rule that says I can't.

Hazaak Dynasty - 3400 pts
