The GW model is really showing its age - a bit too much so for my tastes. I had a conversion planned using the plastic wight king model, but once I say the sprues up close it looked like too much work, given that so much of the model's torso is just part of the cape. So, at the moment, I just don't have a mounted skeletal hero, and it feels like a noticeable gap in my collection. Does anybody know of a good 3rd party mounted skeletal boss type models? Preferably something that wouldn't look entirely out of place riding into battle next to a block of 10 of GW's plastic black knights? Or maybe just a skeletal boss type model without a cloak, something with a clean waste that could be bisected and affixed to the lower torso of a GW black knight model?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Have you tried a hexwraith conversion? Gamezone has some cool skeleton riders bit may be small. Cadwallon (ral partha) stuff is cool.

The problem with a conversion from the hex wraith / black knight kit is making the model look sufficiently more heroic than my existing hexwraith and black knight models made with the same kit.

One of those Cadwallon undead centaurs might work though. Not exactly what I was thinking, but still pretty cool looking. I'll have to think about it. Thank you for the suggestion!
