On a bit of a White Scars kick at the moment. Be patient, a growing desire for Raven Guard (and the thought of naming one of my captains "Jon Snow") means I'll probably turn my attention to the Sons of Corax next.

I always enjoyed the White Scars, even if the idea of them as Mongols in Space may have been a bit cliche. I was disappointed by Andy Hoares books, but Chris Wraight really got me back in to them and thus I started my army, all on bikes! I want my Mongol horde, riding into battle.... on motorcycles.... their archers loosing volleys of mass-reactive bolt rounds.... alright but the idea is there.

I'm completely hung up on the zadyin arga. In Scars, and Brotherhood of the Storm, Targutai Yesugei roams on foot. It seems to me that the role of the stormseer is somewhere between that of librarian and chaplain (to an extent), and their presence inspires reverence. So... do they ride to battle?

I think for my army I will have any on foot, thus necessitating some tactical marines, maybe an honour guard or something, but does anyone have more on the lore for this? If we have to guess, which is the safest guess?

Thanks,
