Hey guys,

Just had a few questions on your opinions of Lylyth1 and Lylyth2 with Typhon and a max unit of Warspears with the UA. Are they worth it? And if you run them, how have they been doing for you.

Also, I have a unit of Warmongers and a Warmonger Warchief laying around, would anybody be opposed to playing them if I converted them to Warspears by ordering the Warspears UA Spear Sheath for every single one of them and converted the halberds to spears (once again ordering the bits from the UA), and using the Warchief as the UA once I convert him as well.

I would not have a problem with your converted models in friendly games. If your playing in a tournament I would check with the TO before the event.

As a combo, Lylyth getting access to typhons animus is pretty legit.

Warspears with the UA arent bad, and with the addition of the blightbringer (if you really wanted), they get a little ridiculous.

Yea, my group and I aren't a fan of running Colossals/Gargantuans, we mainly stick to 35 points. Most of our group owns them, but because of how ruthless I get with my Khador army vs Gargossals they know if they want a fun game to not run them against me. Otherwise I play pure fun lists against them and do my best to try new things and expand my game knowledge.

I guess that it just me, but I hate the idea of the Colossals and Gargantuans. There in my mind was no real need for them, other than selling big kits. But, I have been changing up with my Legion because sadly because of the options I have with Khador (250+ points, and been playing them since the game came out), people don't enjoy playing them as much because they have no idea what I am running each game.

And, as much as I love a lot of the Legion models, the first two Lylyth's I absolutely love to play, and don't have anywhere near as much experience with them. Really just want to make sure that the things I buy won't be a waste for them. I can TheoryMachine a whole bunch of ideas with them, but find if hard to really think outside of my Khador box because everything seems weak to the fantastic Khador units. Which I know is just based off of my perception because of how fantastic a lot of Khador's units are.

I'm not sure the first wave of gargossals were great, but I'm really enjoying the 'utility' type ones that are coming out now.

I'm kind of a sucker for huge based models though. They're a pain in the ass to transport, but I really like how they look when painted on the table.

What's more exciting on that front (in my opinion) are the new huge based casters and the possibility of a second wave of battle engines.

PP has done a pretty good job with not making them auto include when they came out, and all the newer releases feel more balanced (and justifiably useful).

Very true, I don't know what it is, I just feel that 28-32mm wargaming doesn't really need massive kits like that. Yea, they aren't over powered, and can be tackled by armies that don't have them (even my mostly ranged Legion can drop them with a little bit of doing), I am just not a fan. If I want essentially 40k Titans, I would play 6-10mm mass battles.

I'd choose another Ravagore for eLylyth over Typhon, cheaper, better range, better animus, better damage.

Lylyth1 loves Typhon and Warspears, the volume of attacks both provide are fantastic with her feat and Warspears just murder things with Parasite.

Apart from Pin Cushion, Lylyth2 lacks a RAT fixer for Typhon, and her feat really doesn't benefit him much as sprays can't get extended range and he doesn't have the Fury to do much more with 4 sprays than he can with 3. If you want a character beast for Lylyth2 go with Zuriel, he brings his own RAT fixer with his animus, which is also an amazing animus for Lyylth herself to reliably slaughter 4 squishy infantry models a turn (6 on the feat!) at the cost of only 1 fury.
Warspears are legit with her, they get the extra range from her feat and they're a solid wall to hide your beasts behind.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in space and flung him into the Warp, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to real-space, and undo the evil that is Chaos!"
