Okay, have a tourney coming up and that is doing a 150pt squad allowance. Here is what I am thinking...

Kath Scarlett w/Mangler, Expose, Tactician, EU

Vader w/Tie/X1, ATC, Predator, EU

Soontir Fel w/AT, PTL, Stealth,

Omega Ace w/Juke, Comm Relay, AT


Thought about dropping Kath and some upgrades to get RAC with Gunner and Expose.

I know atleast 1 guy will be running a 2 Decimator and shuttle list.

Other than you've given Omega Ace an illegal upgrade as without the boost action Autothrusters can't be equipped, my initial reaction as I was reading is that Kath is the weak link, certainly Expose is a poor choice on her, it's expensive, it uses an action and impacts on one of the Firespray's strengths (2 green over the more common 1 on Large ships contributes significantly to its durability as a chassis.)

Otherwise, all the ships are pretty much standard "optimal load out" for their types, not a lot of synergy, but then that can be a strength in itself on some lists.

Perhaps think about Predator or VI on Kath? They're predictable, but they'll contribute a lot more than expose, and they're both always on, so you can then use your action to focus, TL or evade.

I would trade Omega Ace for Omega Leader (with comms and juke) give Vader VI instead of Predator, lose predator on Chiraneau and take Palpatine instead of Gunner. Right at 150 points.

I'm unsure. Rear Admiral Chiraneau with Gunner is amazing.

A better idea might be dropping one of the aces; Omega Ace is okay rather than amazing - his ability to 'jackpot' a large ship if he can catch it with shields down is probably more useful in larger games, but on the other hand he's not exactly devastating aside from this.

With Chiraneau, Vader and Fel on the board, you don't need Omega Leader too - his speciality is hunting aces, and you have a high PS turret and two of the best aces in the game already.

By comparison, a couple of normal academy pilots gives you blockers and raw strafing power to deal with generic fighters.

Or, demote Omega Ace to a generic Epsilon Squadron and bring Papatine on board as well as the gunner. Does make Chiraneau one hell of a target, though.
