the Jerz

hey folks,

new to all the intricacies of army lists and all the codecies and such, but in short:
is there a specific difference between a Chaos Warband and a full on Chaos army, or is it merely a delineation based on points?
Just thinking of always wanting to mess around painting up some of the great chaos models and thought how I could possible make up an interesting Warband that I could potentially roll into AoS, with the ultimate potential of going full blown army with it at some point.
Is this all covered in the new Chaos codex?
Thanks in advance for what is probably an obvious answer...
Appreciate it!

A codex is a 40k supplement there are no AoS rules to be found in them. If you are looking for AoS go to the AoS part of the forum ; )

The difference between 40k armies is just the points. I have no idea what a "Chaos Warband" is in the context of 40k. It might be that new advent calender thingy. I have not read that and not going to, since no one plays that around there. You might be more in luck in your area.

If you like to play small scale 40k with your chaos you might want to look at some of the kill team rules. Or you could just play a 500 pt game some players are into that.
