Hey all

So I wanted to get back into modelling WH40k and decided to get some tau ...after buying them I realized I don't like the rigid lines you need to follow when you model tau. So I decided to go for Tyranids. But what to do with my pathfinder and drones? (I'll use the crisis suit for another project I have in mind () )

My wife has NO interest in looking at my progress on them (rofl) so I'll show you guys

Drone 01: I'll probably use him as a Mucolid spore



Drone 02: This guy will also be a Mucolid spore, he's on a flying base and has got tentacles coming out of his wazoo!




Drone 3: uh yeah so Mucolid, the two single circular green stuff on his "hat" was my test for making an "eye". I wanted to try making this first, letting it cure, and then sculpting the "eyelid" on top of it. I think with my 4 test eyes, 3 came out fine (Drone 01 has 1-2 as well), I'll show more WIP later




Pathfinder 01: He'll be a Mucolid (I hope they don't get nerfed). He's in 2 parts now, his bottom half will be even more tentacley, and his top half will have bloated sacks coming out of his back like a Malanthrope's side. Notice the lilting head that host is dead, but his heart will go on~~

Pathfinder 02: I was actually planning of using him as a devilgaunt (devourer gant). He was my very first model to try



I apologize for the quality of the pics, I'm using a phone atm and it was late, I thought it would be better to get so-so pics at least, rather than none, since I was about t continue on them.

I'm still learning how to use green stuff (Wave Milliput actually) so I'm testing ideas always, trying new things. It's pretty funny looking back on what I'm still working on and thinking how "before I wasn't as good at this". I actually used a little bit of green stuff to sculpt a few tools to use (I learned that from when I did blacksmithing). Still all WIP and I've got about 8 more pathfinders and 2 more drones to work on like this. Then I've got a crisis suit I'll turn into a Hive Guard from bits I'll get from buying actual Tyranids models
