Thoughts on this force?

pride of the legion lists are remarkably mediocre, I would recommend moving on from in as soon as you can afford it. in a game with this much AP: 3, a 10-man squad is nothing. Unless locally EVERYONE plays PotL you will find that this list lags behind. DG are already immune to fear, so if you've purchased a vexillia, then swap fearless out with something else.

Beyond that, it looks like you've got calth, some sicarians, and a Primarch. Do you have a theme, or general plan what you wanna do with the army? Terminator or Dreadnought spam? Tanks? faux net-list of PotL + fancy tanks? 40k marine army, but without the master of relics tax?

I was thinking maybe some sort of infantry heavy mechanized force. I know DG aren't the ideal thing for this but I really like their fluff and the few games I have polayed with this I have come out okay. I was thinking about picking up some rhinos for the 10 man vet squads for the mech aspect. Would that be a good idea?

It may work, but you're right about DG not being the best for this sort of thing. If you wanted a good laugh, take 3 raiders and a spartan, put everyone in a transport, and use the DG RoW to give all the characters rad grenades and just bum rush people

Hmm Ok I like it. After more thought I will just add in some more DS and GW and turn the vets into 20 man tac squads. Then proceed to bumrush while being supported by the Sicarans and Leviathen.

Why have an iron halo on the Praetor? The Cataphracii already gives him a 4++ save so you don't need the halo.

Give him rad grenades instead they cost 10p and are totally worth it.
