Hi folks.
I collected epic (2nd ed) in my teens but stopped when I moved out of home. Last year I brought my two epic armies, Blood Angels and Alaitoc (around 8000pts each) out of the loft to show my 7 year old son. he loves it so after a game or two I decided to get Dark Vengeance (which worked out well because I have a few DAs in 40k that I bought in my teens just to paint). It's taking some time but we are starting to get our heads around the rules now, well the basics anyway. So I'm now collecting the awesome Dark Angels. My son has been painting the cultists from the set and is surprisingly good for his age. He wanted to start a Saim Hann army so we got him the Eldar codex as part of his Xmas present. He bought the Battleforce with some money he got from relatives and has been painting that.

I'm also reading 40K books at the moment which I'm really enjoying. I'm reading The Purging Of Kadillus before starting on the Legacy Of Caliban. I've already read Angels Of Darkness, which was awesome.

Anyway I'm looking forward to being part of your forum

Gav's thorpe's 'path' series is a good introduction into Eldar lore but a terrible read for anyone over the age of 14. Aside from being really good, warp spiders are really fun to play with.

Thanks. He's getting 3 boxes of bikes and a farseer on a bike from us and grandparents for his birthday next month, he's looking to get the windrider host and the take that onto the craftworld warhost.
