I'm looking at the [url=http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/dungeon-saga/miniatures/product/evil-dead-miniatures-set.html]Evil Dead Miniatures Set
from Mantic (for Frostgrave), but I've got a couple of quick questions?

I take it since this is intended for a board game, the base is integral?

What is premium plastic? Is it HIPS or restic?

The base is integral, yes. Though most models are only attached at one point, so removing the base is definitely an option if desired (would require a sharp knife though).

The plastic is a variation of restic, though the mold lines are generally a lot better. Its also a bit more flexible, though not overly so (ie, its not nearly as bendy as Reaper Bones). Since they come preassembled, not being HIPS is a bit less of a problem than it might otherwise be. Unless youre planning on heavily modifying stuff, of course.
(though even then, the hot-water treatment can go a long way)

Hope that helps.

That's ideal, thanks

All I'm planning to do is put them on round lipped bases, so being a little bit softer is probably a good thing (makes it much easier to cut).

To clarify, the base is not integral-- the models have a little peg on the bottom of one foot that fits in a little hole in the base. You can put the in the freezer to make the glue brittle and just snap the base off if you want to.

Excellent, that's even better

Do I just treat them as resin and wash before priming?

They are closer to restic than resin, but it's probably best to wash them anyway.
