Hi there!
After a (silly) year playing 'Nids,I recently bought a new Chaos daemons army,my old love.
Is Nurgle/Khorne oriented and got a big fat GUO from GW in it,is gonna take some time before is gonna hit the table cause I wanna get at least hal of it paint half o it.
I got access to the old codex at my gamin club and battlescribe is a bless, however I was wondering if is wise to buy the old codex as being so old.
With the new curse of the Wulfen release,do you guys think shall I buy the codex or is a new one on the way?
Or GW really wants me to buy a 6th ed codex and a 50000 quid book to play my army?

The reliable rumor mongers have pretty much all come right out and said "no new Chaos codices this year", while the only one on the radar to be replaced is Chaos Marines sometime next year. (hinted to be around the middle of 2017)
While the Warzone Fenris: CotW, and potentially the following book(s) are adding updates, the codex itself isn't being touched for the being.

Still, despite now being the second oldest codex in the game, (only Chaos Marines are older), we Daemon players can't complain much beyond a couple big issues. (ie: Pink Horrors don't work as intended due to 7th ed casting rules)
Our book overall has aged incredibly well, and we can still bring a couple of complete Troll/face wrecking lists that can compete alongside the cheesiest of cheese from the newer 7.5ed codices.

We can also build a huge multitude of more friendly lists, and play virtually any theme you can think of!
While some of the formations we got in CotW for our Daemoncurion are absolutely abysmal, overall there's a few ways to make it work. (though mono-Tzeentch is awful, or else forces you to take Grinders/Furies in place of Screamers & Chariots)

No new book, but there are the weak rumors that there will be an updated codex like tau got. Though I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

See if you can get just the rules half of the wulfen book on ebay or something at a discount.

Technically the Grimnor Edition is the "updated" codex, it includes the Exalted Flamer from the errata and Be'Lakor as well as references to the three flavours of Blood Thirsters we have now. It also got the Decurion and I assume the new hellforged artefacts in it.

However functionally it's the same as the old 6th Edition Daemons codex. It just consolidates everything in one (expensive) book.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

just bought me the old codex and I'll find a way around the Wulfen book
Are the new datacards worth or is possible to make some customized from the data in the Wulfen book?

For what little they cost, the datacards are definitely worth it.
