Do we actually know when this is happening in 999.M41? Is Fenris being sieged at the same time that Abbadons black crusade is taking place? If so then does that mean that the space wolves, the dark angels, a sizable amount of grey knights and several other chapter companies are not defending cadia?
This information would make a huge difference. If it is before the black crusade then it means that we can predict that the siege will all be wrapped up in a nice neet bow and once again the imperium manages to resolve their differences for some bull reason. However if it is going on at the same time then could this be part of some Tzeentch plan to turn one of the most fearsome chapters upon the imperium at the same time that the imperium is being threatoned by Abbadons forces?
I do hope this is Tzeentch's plan to use the one chapter that had sworn their hatred for the thousand sons and all magic.

I'm not sure when the siege happens, I don't have the book, but if it's happening at the same time at the 13th black crusade, I could see the Dark Angles believing the wolves fell, and in Doing so would pose a huge threat to that sector of space.
